My experience
I still remember to this day when I was a new mum, having two people tell me that I was doing a good job. It meant so much to have that reassurance - and that's what I want to give back to other mums. It's the reason I work on the Careline. Nowadays mums google a lot, read social media and get lost in information. It's easy to doubt yourself, but sometimes a little reassurance is all you need. There's no baby manual!

My favourite Careline moment is…
A mum was ready to give up on breast feeding because she didn't think she was getting enough milk to her baby. I coached her to work with her bub - feed when baby wants and sleep when baby sleeps. When I called her back a few weeks later, things were working out. She was happily breast feeding!

Call me to talk about labour and birth. Being active and staying in control is so important, and as I always say, a good birth means a great start to the journey!

My experience
I always knew that I wanted to work with babies and children. When I finished my nursing degree, I worked in a Special Care Nursery and met some really inspiring midwives. They encouraged me to become a midwife myself, and I haven't looked back since! I love helping new mums, and I understand that parenthood's a full-time job with lots of questions. That's why I'm here - to give you the most informed advice I can.

My favourite Careline moment is…
I get lots of calls from mums-to-be saying, “I think I might be pregnant”. I’ll ask them lots of questions and run through the usual to-do list, but the best part is when they call back to tell me their test is positive. There’s just no hiding my smile.

Careline Nutritionist

Call me to talk about any questions you have to do with feeding your baby. There is so much conflicting information out there about feeding your baby and I can help you to make better choices. Often mums are doing the right things already and just need some reassurance.

My experience
It's never easy to raise a baby; so many choices to make! As a nutritionist I can help support you in making the right nutritional choices for you and your baby. As a mum of 2, I know it’s not always easy to get your little ones to eat - let alone eat the right foods. Sometimes it’s just a matter of trying a different way of serving the food, or simply trying again.

My favourite Careline moment is…
Talking through health concerns with a mum or dad and coming up with a solution is very satisfying, and parents often thank me. Getting a call back to say the solution worked is great to hear and gives me a buzz!

My experience
Hi there, my name is Christine and I'm a registered dietitian and nutritionist. I believe that good nutrition is important in all stages of life, especially in infancy. I love to cook and have garnered culinary tastes and flavours from the different countries and cities where I have lived, worked and travelled. My goal is to help translate complex nutrition jargon into simple, practical food information. I want to help support mums with the daily nutrition challenges they face - from fussy eaters to babies with allergies and intolerances.

My favourite Careline moment is…
I recently spoke to a mum who was out of ideas on how she could increase her toddler's veggie and fruit intake. Her 15 month old refused to eat any leafy green veggies. I advised that sometimes, it's just a matter preparing it differently. For example, blending up spinach with kiwi fruit, slices of banana and a little water is a great way to get both fruit and veggies in. She loved the idea that you could drink your veggies and said she would give it a try!

My experience
I'd always wanted to be a dietitian. After working as a flight attendant for 11 years, I made the jump and qualified for my Masters. I love being a support for mums - and dads (lots of dads ring now). They often ask questions that they know the answer to, but because of things like sleepless nights, they second-guess themselves. I'm here to help parents find their own way by sharing what's worked for other mums too.

My favourite Careline moment is…
Dietitians are always talking poos. Sounds gross but true! I had a mum ring me with a groaning baby. Her bub wasn't going to the toilet, so she panicked. I calmed her down, talked her through how the gut develops, and gave her some simple remedies (e.g. 'fluid' + 'fibre' is important). When I checked back a week later, everything was well regular!

My experience
I’ve been working with Nutricia for a long time now, and here on the Careline, I help people with their infant and toddler nutrition questions. I love helping mums to make informed decisions, and while I’m not one myself yet, I’ll certainly be prepared when I do! I also love looking for trends in what our mums are calling about, what they’re having trouble with, and using this information to make our Careline the best it can be.

My favourite Careline moment is…
A lot of the time, mums call me with feeding questions or needing reassurance about their little one’s nutrition and I can help them understand what’s involved. There’s nothing like the buzz here in the Careline when we’re all helping mums and sharing our stories together. It’s such a happy and positive place to work!

My experience
As a mum of two boys and a primary school teacher, I've been involved with children for many years now. As a registered nutritionist I'm here to help you with up-to-date knowledge on healthy eating for pre-conception, pregnancy and breast feeding, as well as for your baby. I found breast feeding very difficult with my eldest and a breeze with my second - now they're 12 and 9 years old. They grow so fast!

My favourite Careline moment is…
A mum with a 7-month baby boy called. She'd started him on solids but he didn't seem to like anything. Mum was at her wits' end but I soon realised she'd only tried foods once and moved on, when sometimes it can take 10 times for babies to accept. I suggested trying with mashed banana (start off sweet) and persisting with that for a week. The next week she called to say her little man was happily eating!
